Sarah goes to Chicago...

Sophie's school has broken up for the summer holidays. Mrs Keen is going on holiday a long way away - to America. Sophie doesn't want to go so her new Little Sister, Sarah is going instead. She's promised to take lots of photos to show Sophie.

The flight is very early so they had to get up while it was still dark and drive to the airport. They are going on a very big plane because it's such a long way. It will take eight hours to fly there.

The first city they visited was Chicago. There are lots of tall buildings there called skyscrapers.

They went up the tallest skyscraper - the Sears Tower - from the top they could see for miles!

Sarah went for a walk in the park by the lake. The lake is called Lake Michigan. It is one of the five great lakes in North America. It was getting dark. She took a photograph of all the big buildings in the city.

Holiday continues on Next Page ...
