Sophie goes to Southend ... in the rain

Sophie Bear was very bored. She has started back at school with Mrs Keen but since the weather had started to get worse has not been out to play.

The weather didn't look too bad this weekend so Sophie's Nanny said they should go down to Southend for some fresh air. "Cool - candy floss and ice cream!", said Sophie greedily.

Sophie got her coat on. Can you see what colour it is? Yes - her favourite - pink!

Oh look - Little Bear is sitting in his special seat. What a good bear - that way he is nice and safe and can see out of the windows. Does your car have a bear seat built in? Sophie's Ford Mondeo does!

Sophie in Southend Mrs Keen drove them down a big road. They stopped at a shop then parked right on the seafront in Southend. Little Bear climbed into the front so he could see better!

They got out of the car but Sophie quickly felt a few spots of rain. She ran back to the car - she doesn't like getting wet!

Both she and Little Bear sat in the car with the heating on for a bit until the rain had passed. Mrs Keen had to put the windscreen wipers on it was that heavy!

"Typical," said Sophie Bear, " it's raining after Nanny suggested we come down here!".

When the rain stopped they went for a walk and Sophie had an ice cream Coke float - that's where you put ice cream on top of a glass of Coke!

Then they got back in the car and drove home.

This is Sophie when she arrived back home. Take your coat off Sophie!
