Sophie loves meeting new friends ...

Sophie has found two new friends today.

The first one is a little man with a big shoe problem. He is an insect with lots and lots of legs - can you guess what he is?

It's a millipede! Look closely and you can see all his legs. Sophie says his name is Milli!

Milli likes eating plants in Miss Wellsbury's garden. Miss Wellsbury doesn't mind so long as he sticks to eating the weeds. If he starts on the plants then she tells him to move. Sophie is keeping a very close eye on him to check he's not doing anything wrong. Poor Milli!

Here's Sophie's other new friends. Gerald spotted someone sitting in the garden so took a picture with his new phone. He called Sophie over, who opened the patio door and let him in. "Why are you wearing pyjamas in the garden?", she asked him. "Because I'm a sleepy hippo", he said.

He didn't bother to tell Sophie his name - just went straight up to bed! Obviously a very tired hippo. I'm not sure what Miss Wellsbury will say when she finds a hippo in her bed ...
